Waterfall
A spectacular afternoon at Cape Cornwall in March 2022. Atmospheric conditions created the tallest waves I will ever see in my lifetime. I have called this picture “Waterfall” for obvious reasons.

Pentire West Sunset

Waves & Gannet
A spectacular afternoon at Cape Cornwall in March 2022. Atmospheric conditions created the tallest waves I will ever see in my lifetime. I captured a gannet flying across the surf and with a 6ft wingspan it gives an idea as to just how big the waves were.

Pentire West Sunset 2

Constantine Sunburst
A spectacular sunset at Constantine Bay in May 2022. The colours were as vivid as can be and it was a joy to be there making this picture.

Nature's Power
A spectacular afternoon at Cape Cornwall in March 2022. Atmospheric conditions created the tallest waves I will ever see in my lifetime. This picture reminds me of the sheer power of the sea.

Derwentwater Autumn View
The autumn colours were magnificent this year in the Lake District. The conditions for photography weren’t fantastic most days but for one brief moment the light came and I managed to capture this sublime image of a very full Derwentwater.

Sunset from Jetty
Fire in the sky over Windermere at Waterhead

Buttermere Reflections
It is a well-photographed place but it doesn’t ever fail to impress. This picture was made on a very calm early May morning and for me it is one of most beautiful places in the Lake District

Grasmere Reflections
The view towards Helm Crag is as beautiful as it gets in the Lake District particularly when there isn’t a ripple on the water

It is lovely to see the sea thrift just before the summer starts in Cornwall

Kynance Cove
There are fewer more spectacular parts of the coast in Cornwall. True there are more dramatic scenes when the weather turns stormy but on a day like this what could be more beautiful?

Bedruthan
This has to be one of the most incredible parts of Cornwall from a photographer’s perspective.

Stormy Skies
It had been an overcast day in Cornwall and the sky looks moody as the tide comes in over the rocks at Bedruthan Steps

Bedruthan Rockpool
Getting close to high tide at Bedruthan Steps

Bassenthwaite
Bassenthwaite isn’t the most beuatiful of the Lakes but when it is as calm as this with the heather on Skiddaw it is at its best

Rocks and Sunset

St Mary's Lighthouse, Whitley Bay
Taken at sunset on a warm May day; it was such a peaceful scene waiting for the light to come

Sea Stack
The last of the late evening sun lights up the sea stacks at Bedruthan Steps

St Mary's Lighthouse
As I was taking this, I realised the tide had come in a bit more quickly than I expected. I like the result but I got wet feet getting back to the car park

Scale Force
at 170ft, this is the highest waterfall in the lake district but quite difficult to photograph effectively in its entirety, so this is the lower section. Slightly off the beaten track but a very lovely place

Buttermere Pines
Taken early one May morning with perfect conditions

Bluebells at Rannerdale
The bluebells at Rannerdale are a spectacular sight and it’s such a pleasure to be able to photograph them.

Last Light
Looking out from the beach at Bedruthan Steps just as the sun dips below the horizon

Pentire Head

Morning Sky
This was taken close to Bedruthan Steps on the Cornish coast just after sunrise. I love the serenity and calm before the big waves started to crash in

Skiddaw from Ashiness Jetty
It was late afternoon and this was the last of the sunlight on Skiddaw, Taken from Ashiness Jetty

Derwentwater from Castle Crag

Grasmere; Autumn Reflections

Grasmere from Helm Crag
Grasmere in the distance, looking down from Helm Crag

Castle Crag Trees
On the descent from Castle Crag, the last of the afternoon sun lit up these trees to provide a glimpse of autumn colours

Rock
After a day of high winds and heavy rain, the sun finally came through very briefly and I made this picture looking out from Rock just before the storm clouds moved in again

Windermere Sunset
Looking out over Windermere from Wateredge in Ambleside

Consiton Reflections
Coniston with grey skies on a rainy day, However the sun did shine through very briefly lighting up some of the trees before closing in again very quickly. It was very much a case of right time right place.

Boats on Windermere
It was a damp and misty start to our Lakes trip but in autumn, there is always the chance of a reflection at the top end of Windermere. It was great to spend an hour waiting for things to settle and this was the result.

Windermere Reflections
Don't you just love it when the sun comes up and turns everything the richest of autumn gold? This particular shoot hadn't started well with a washed out sunrise but it pays to hang around a while.

Windermere Autumn
After a long wait, the early morning sun shed a golden light on the fells at the top of Windermere. Autumn in the Lakes is as good as it can get when the light is like this.

Bedruthan Sunrise
Early morning looking towards a hazy Bedruthan Steps on a lovely September day

Bedruthan Waves
This is my favourite picture from the morning I spent at Bedruthan on the beautiful Cornish coast. The 90 sec exposure has created a sense of movement in the clouds.

Rumps Point

Holywell Bay Sunset
Possibly one of the most peaceful places, certainly the day I visited. I just sat on the beach and waited for the sun to drop on to the horizon.

Autumn Isle
This picture was taken on an overcast day at Derwent Water. As the mist cleared, the vivid autumn colours of Derwent Isle came into view. Ten minutes later the rain started and the Isle disappeared from view

Staithes
There can't be many more beautiful places than Staithes nor a better vantage point to take photographs from. I never tire of going back.
